Bespoke Garden Benches - Reproduced to match originals
We were approached by a local Council and asked if we could manufacture benches to match an intricate design, as the original benches had seen better days.
The original benches had to be stripped down in order to investigate what timber had been used originally, since the pattern involved contrasting timber colours. Once we had an idea of the best timbers to use, it was a long, painstaking process to replicate the 4 new benches. The original legs could be re-used, along with the basic structure, but all needed to be strengthened and repaired before fixing the new bench slats to the tops.
We think it was worth the time and effort - these photos do not do them justice.
